AMEDD Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Course
The AMEDD Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology Course consists of 80 hours of instruction in 14 modules providing learners an in depth overview of the human body's systems, structures, and functions. The course is intended as prerequisite or refresher instruction for enlisted Soldiers and officers undertaking healthcare training pursuits. The instruction is comparable to a university entry-level anatomy and physiology course, and students that master the material should be well prepared for more advanced study. Unlike most DL offerings, students are expected to access the materials multiple times and invest substantial study time to pass the mastery post-test exam.
This course makes extensive use of 2D/3D images and animations and also includes a 3D graphic reference tool that provides students access to all images and animations. The course will be offered in its entirety on the Army Learning Management System, but individual modules and lessons are available for inclusion in any program of instruction. Please visit the web site for the AMEDD Center & School Distance Learning on AKO for a complete list of modules or questions regarding the course.

Patriot Missile Crew Drill Series
The Patriot Missile Crew Drills consist of a series of iPhone Apps with identical PC versions. The Apps were created for the 3-6 Air Defense Artillery (ADA) at the Fires Center of Excellence at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
The Apps were created as part of the Connecting Soldiers to Digital Apps (CSDA) initiative. The goal is to explore the value of using smart phones to evaluate new training approaches that allow Soldiers to learn anytime/anywhere and to explore Smart Phone potential to enable every Soldier to access information and learning in any environment.
The Apps are being piloted by 14T and 14E soldiers in their initial training at Ft. Sill. Each App places the learner in a true-to-life 3D simulated environment, where they manipulate avatars to perform the steps to prepare various pieces of equipment used in the Patriot Launching. Actual video shot at Ft. Sill is included to reinforce learning in this serious game.
The courseware is currently in validation and will be released soon. Please visit this site regularly for information.
