1.  Test the product for SCORM conformance:

  1. To prepare to test the product you must first install the appropriate ADL Test Suite.
  2. Test for SCORM compliance and Army requirements using Army Acceptance Criteria.

2.  Test the playability of the product in the ALMS.  Each SCORM content package that is developed must be individually loaded into the ALMS available at ATSC.  Please contact ATSC if you are unsure of how to deliver your SCORM package(s) to ATSC for self-testing.  The courseware must play correctly when accessed from a DTF classroom.

3.  Test the computer-managed instruction (CMI) data in the ALMS.  The SCORM places additional requirements on traditional distributed learning courseware.  Student access to a SCO (i.e. Table of Content item) is defined by the XML tagging in the Manifest file.  CMI data is maintained in the ALMS.  Also, CMI data is communicated through SCORM commands that use specific SCORM data items.  Therefore, to validate CMI data, perform the following:

  1. For each SCO, verify the SCO will launch and close appropriately.
  2. For each SCO, verify the correct status (e.g. “passed”, “complete”, “incomplete”, “failed”) is posted/recorded by the ALMS.
  3. For each examination SCO, verify the correct score (e.g. 85%, 100%) is posted/recorded to the ALMS.
