RELEASE
The Joint Deployment Training
Center (JDTC), an activity of the US Department of Defense, is preparing
a CD-ROM for production to be issued for defense purposes under the title
(insert title when known). The product is intended
for distribution to Department of Defense activities and will include
segments of video presentations. Permission is requested to use Microsoft
Media Player © to run these video presentations. If you grant permission,
each CD-ROM will include a statement that the user must have a licensed
copy of Microsoft Windows © to view the CD-ROM.
JDTC seeks to make the
CD-ROM easier to use for the end user by having Media Player already on
the CD-ROM. This avoids the user having to visit the Microsoft Web Page
and download Media Player, if the user’s copy of Windows does not already
contain this particular program.
Would you please indicate
on one copy of this letter, in the space provided below, whether Media
Player may be used in the CD-ROM this office is preparing. A self-addressed
envelope is enclosed for your use.
